Nice...I still have 1 of the original discs from 1up magazine with a S2 map to download into ps2 but would like the rest of the discs and i wish I can find a download for the S2 dlc for s2.

I know when I went to download the content a year ago, it was gone but magically showed back up a few days later. So it's nice that it has a reliable source now for those looking to grab it before the end.

Any chance we would have one more community night on SOCOM 3/CA before the servers go offline?

My game wont load any of the map packs :/

  11. Make sure your unzip the file and moved it to your flash drive. The path should look like this ?:\SOCOMCA\RUN .zar files 11.
Also make sure your flash drive is FAT32. It can take like 30 seconds for it to finished loading. If you got a flash drive that got a light that blinks just went for it to stop blinking. After it's done loading them you should go to the top tab and down to the game list.

Yeah I did all of that and reformated the flash drive to FAT32 and it still wont work. Although i did find one flashdrive that did work when i used it, so maybe it was just the flash drive? I dunno the one that doesnt work does have a light though so was that the problem?

Are those maps also playable on S3?

  14. No. but if you want the SOCOM 3 map packs you can download them here.

Also you must have the SOCOM 3 patch for this to work.

How do we get the S3 Patch to work for the xlink?

  17. Sorry did not see this post right away. If you still got the patch should work with no problem. You don't need to do anything special to get it to work.

So, like in S2. You do not have to have the "unique" PS2 that the original patch was downloaded to?

Im about to buy CA and was curious about using the patches with xlink.

  19. Yes, you will get a error saying that the patch was created on other console.

So basically without the patch you can't play map packs. And unless you already have the patch........... :) you know what I am saying.
